hardest ride of the year
Since the roads mucked up at the crit course we did a sortof road ride out Bluff...It was fast, I suffered and ultimately got dropped on airbase after being too far back and getting gapped off from the fast guys on the small hill.
Me and DeRosa guy chased hard and were oh-so-close but just couldn't get it done...it was a fun chase.
Having my first ride in close to 4 weeks be a bloodbath road ride at times wasn't fun...you can only bluff it up to a point then it's "see ya". Plus it's a lot harder to hide in a screaming paceline with lots of surges than in a crit.
My new bike was sweet...gonna be good. The weird thing was riding 175mm cranks. This was very very weird...kindof like riding a giants bike. These are going on ebay soon. Otherwise the bike felt great...just need to change out the bars and get the reach dialed in.
